As you’ll find out if you buy a copy of our book and CD, ‘Inder-ends are the bits and bobs left over after the threshing process. A bit of this and that, if you like. So, in this book you’ll find a mix - poems, songs, tales and so on. It’s in such things that the cultural identity of a County are often best reflected.

Thaay tell me I mun dee
I’ th’ fower stoane walls o’ a prison,
Wheare ther’s nowt – not a floower nor a tree;

Wheare a daaisy ‘ll niver blaw,
An’ nobbud gress i’ th’ flag-stoanes
An’ bits o’ moss ‘ll graw.

I’m not afeard o’ deein’,
Bud I want to hear agaan
Th’ wind i’ th’ tops o’ th’ fir-trees,
An’ smell th’ smell o’ th’ raan
Wheare it cums doon streight fra heaven;
I want to hear th’ call
O’ th’ pywipes i’ th’ marsh-land
